  • Onboard radio for added capability for sensor- level self-localization.

With ISTI's developed technologies, the communication bandwidth and sensor-level processing limitations are overcome especially in moderately large wireless sensor networks. Current applications of our systems include (see Projects): acoustic localization and tracking of moving ground and airborne vehicles; transient event (e.g., gunshot) detection, localization and classification; sensor-level data compression for streaming large amount of data; and distributed network of scanning lasers for perimeter security and surveillance applications. Our hardware, software, and networking solutions and products can be modified, reconfigured and applied to a wide variety of distributed sensor networking applications.
